Contains photographs of the following military units and organizations: 45th Engineer Group; 62nd Engineer Battalion. General description of the collection: The Charles C. Noble photograph collection consists of photos that reflect only a short period of General Noble's career from 1966-1971 and mostly dealing with engineer activities in Vietnam. There are are numerous photos showing road construction, fire base construction, airstrip construction, and an equipment repair school in Vietnam. There is a photo album of Lieutenant General Clark's visit to South Vietnamese Army (AVRN) engineer units and the Engineer School. Several photos show the construction of a barge pier at Newport, Virginia in 1966 and several others are site photos of other engineer construction projects, but are not captioned.

Charles C. Noble was a United States (U.S.) Army officer who graduated from the U.S. Military Academy (USMA) in 1940. He was given various assignments and commands in military engineering units both during and after World War II (WWII). In 1966, he was appointed director of the Southeast Asia Construction Group and in 1967, he became Deputy Director Civil Works to Comprehensive Basin Planning, Office of the Chief of Engineers.
